Today I just want to share a small piece of advice. You know we spend so much time talking about how we would love to meet this famous person we respect so much or think about people that we wish returned our affections or aspirations for friendship. Sometimes we harp on who isn't around or who doesn't make an effort to be there. I hate to speak for anyone but the sad fact is that they don't care-the degree of indifference depends on their involvement but some people don't care that you care about them. Though everyone has somebody who does. So take some time today to outwardly express your appreciation for that person or people that have been there and will continue to be there for you. They are a blessing, because if it was up to that bf/gf that up and left or a friend that doesn't make any time or that celebrity that doesn't know you exist, we'd all be very unloved.
Not everyone will be a kindred spirit to you, so just take every relationship for what it's worth, realize it's limitations by judging the limitations of one's commitment to your interactions. And enjoy shallow relationships with an acquaintance and cherish the very close relationships you have. There nothing wrong with menial conversation. Just don't mix up whose who in your life.
No need to be mushy if you don't do that, just say "hey man, or girl, you're awesome!"
This is of course Kel's Insight, bringing it all into focus and in clear plain sight. Leave a comment if you wish(:
