I was thinking though that it would be cool to have some random suggestions about how the film should play out. You know I'd like this to be sort of a break away film. Something halfway respectable and if i'm not climbing out on the limb too far, then maybe even interesting. I wrote a brief potential opening scene establishing basically an 'excuse' for why we are filming a war movie in what is obviously a backyard with toy guns and with the soldiers being of teenager age. This is the scene!
Battle Climactic (A War’s End)
There is a major war going on between two countries. A Small fleet of three soldiers crash their helicopter and are stranded in a suburban neighborhood in the warring country. They were on rescue mission to save a friend who had been left behind at the last battle point. However they crashed as it happens to be three hundred yards from the hidden capital city of the opposing country. They are confronted by two soldiers on a supplies mission. The battle under the circumstances could be a major turning point in the war. If these three crash victims can kill the supply men and advance to the capital and send back intelligence of the hidden location they can win the war.
Scene #1
(Attorney General is in the radar room. Commander Mitchell enters)
General: At ease
Commander Mitchell: Sir, I have a very interesting piece of information that you must see immediately
(They sit down)
Commander Mitchell: A small lacking quadrant of platoon was onboard a rescue mission to a recent battle point to retrieve a stranded private. The mission was low-profile but their helicopter crashed. This typically would not concern the advising of someone on your level but there is a twist to the story. We don’t have their location as they went under ultra-surveillance evasion; A new experimental program. Bottom line we lost their coordinates well over an hour before they crashed. They could be anywhere.
General: Mustn’t they be somewhere along the path of the destination Commander? Easily calculated.
Commander Mitchell: Yes, however the exact destination was never known by anyone outside that platoon. They were the only ones that strayed out so far to an isolated battle on uncharted territories. That’s why they were chosen for the rescue mission despite minimal training in this field. Suffice to say the telecommunications also went offline after the crash; however not before we received this message
(message reads: “We have found the capital”)
General: Good grace
Commander Mitchell: If they succeed in acquiring communications in the capital city; they can report to us their, and the capital’s, exact location
General: This is a potential turning point Commander Mitchell. Organize a sizeable militia to stand by in the event we receive the coordinates
Commander Mitchell: 10,000 of the brightest waiting hand in foot. Unfortunately, the three personnel that crashed are perhaps the biggest morons in the whole military. Each 18 and incredibly stupid
(Commander moves the radar)
General: Just our luck. How long ago did they send this message?
Commander Mitchell: Two days; their last signal was picked up here, and then they were gone
General: Let’s hope they can do it
Scene #2
(Title sequence. Area shots of the battle setting)
